I envisioned Tabaquero as a shamanic journey. The tobacco, the spices, the smoke… I sought a fragrance that was spiritual, yet also deeply physical. We are not in a gentle meditation, but rather in an intense trance.
THE DRAMA EFFECT
Fenugreek and its spicy, toasted, inimitable, and distinctive note. One of Anatole’s favorite raw materials, which, like him, always takes things to the extreme. Case in point: during a visit to the<br>Lyon Museum of Fine Arts, Anatole realized that a vial of fenugreek essence had spilled into his bag. The smell is intense, immediate, and overwhelming; it evokes the sun and times gone by and seems to animate the antiques surrounding him.<br>Inspired by this happy accident, he scribbles a rough formula in his notebook, blending fenugreek with ingredients that evoke tobacco, smoke, and the origins of perfumery.
After a few minutes of total immersion, emerging from his extatic bliss, he notices security guards bustling about and searching for the source of this strong, burnt smell. He suddenly realizes that it is his devilish fenugreek aroma wafting everywhere, causing this wave of panic and turning him into a suspicious, stinky package.
